I propose accepting those current numbers in the budget with the addition of
personal income tax - 10% to 5%
The reasoning being that overall the budget increases the cost to live in the UK and I feel some balancing of this cost needs to be put into place while at the same time accomplishing the goal of overall preventing UK from going into debt.
I'm cautious about any reductions in revenue at least this month...
So far in March the government has spent 18,000 GBP while only raising 2051 GBP, of that 2051 GBP around 400 of that was Personal income, your amendment would effectively halve the income.
Also I want to note I kept in mind the cost of living, the Export, Sales tax are the only increase people will see, Wage tax is paid by the companies when someone works for them, I think its fair that business'es chip in extra to help the government.
Overall I am against this amendment. However until further opinions are given I will hold my vote.
With that additional information I would vote against my own amendment but not withdraw it without further discussion on both this and the main proposal. In fact upon further thought it is the new younger players I want to look out for and this amendment is more of an overall thing
