Is this the internet?

Ok, been playing a couple of days.
Kill monsters.
Work overnight while I sleep.

What else is there to do ?

Can't see anything in market that I can afford to buy to improve by way of equipment..

Down to my last couple of food items, and the amount of money I have will buy me 3 lots of food in the market.

Is that it ?

What am I doing wrong / missing.

I'm struggling to exist / see how to play the game.

I like the idea but there doesn't seem to be anything I've found to make it seem interesting

Thanks

If you are loosing war food and drink then you are doing something wrong.
Did you check the damage formula? Do you know how damage works?
You can check it here:

This answer is not helpful at all.

I fight, my CP is reduced, I drink war drinks won in fights. There are never enough drink drops to replenish full CP.
Higher level opponents take more CP but NEVER drop drinks. 2 days playing, with work and 2 level bonuses and I still can't even afford 1 war drink!
How are you supposed to survive if there is no reasonable way to gather these drinks?

It is possible to avoid loss of CP (and HP) by fighting monsters below your level and making sure that you have high stamina (generally no less than two or three points below your maximum). You also need to stick with monsters that are labeled as non-aggressive; otherwise, you will always lose at least a little bit of CP because the monster will get the first hit. For specific details, you can play around with the damage formula as has been suggested above. If you can avoid damage, you will not need to rely on war food/drinks as much.

Currently war food/drinks are still dropping from monsters of level 5 or below but a recent change has disabled such drops for monsters of level 6 and above.

Nevertheless, this still seems to be a pretty boring game overall, although things do get a bit more interesting if you are able to invest a few Euros and set up your own companies. If you can get at least one company going and install the required machines and blueprints, you can create jobs (workplaces) for other players and begin making products. These products can then be sold on the market to other players and companies for a profit. Making your products available will also help other players get what they need and increase the activity of the game's economy, from which you can eventually draw greater returns.

For example, yesterday I made the first sales at my rubber company in the UK (10 units), which allowed me to gather enough data to begin crunching some numbers. My preliminary calculations, factoring in wages, taxes to various entities, and the initial machine/blueprint costs, show that I will end up with a profit of approximately 3 Euros after the rubber machine has reached the end of its lifespan and requires replacement. Although this is not much of a retirement fund, it is possible to establish multiple companies and increase your overall profits as long as there is demand for the products. You can also buy shares of the game fund and receive dividends, although it is still too early to determine how much these dividends will be worth or how long it might take to recoup any funds invested in share purchases. In some circumstances, materials dropped from fights may be inserted into your companies or sold directly on the market, thus helping to defray your costs.

You have received some additional drinks to help you keep going.
But please fight carefully next time. If you do, you shouldn't loose any of your CP.

Thanks for the drinks.

So basically, only pick a fight you know you're going to win ?

What's the point ?

Where's the risk/reward ?

It would be fine if the consumables to replenish were cheap - say a £ or two in whatever currency but they're not - so currently the only way to start off a combat game is to take no risks and beat up guaranteed win opposition ?

If they were cheap people would fight more, if people fight more people engage more, then they come back more - currently I see little incentive to do that

Now my weapon is out of ammo / charges whatever .

None for sale , and probably couldn't afford them even if they were.

Basic items should be available to buy in all markets at low cost if you want people to keep playing rather than sit here frustrated

1285gbp for a LQ pistol,in market - that's over 200 hours work to afford.
So currently I can do nothing apart frm work solidly for 10 days ? Oh except you can't actually work solidly for 10 days as you can only work once per day .....
I checked and it's not April 1st yet.
Basic things need to be available for basic money or people will not come back.
Does anyone care ? Is anyone going to do anything or shoud I just give up now ?

Now 4 days into the game, I have made enough money to buy 1 TQ drink OR 1 TQ food. I now have 0 HP and 0 CP. Where do I go from here? The aggressive aliens have a higher % chance of dropping food or drink but did not do so. I fight a L1 alien and it takes 4 hits to kill it! I am L3 and had full stamina, WTF??? No drop of food OR drink.
I cannot afford to invest enough real money to buy companies, licences, raw materials needed to produce anything.
I keep collecting iron, wood and other crap from fights. Can I sell them? NO, I need to buy a licence for EACH product, that I cannot afford and is worth more than the items I have to sell. What is the point of these drops?
Is it worth staying in this game or is it only for those that will pay?
Frustrated, upset and ready to post everywhere how not fun this game really is. How do you make enough to survive?

Okay Guys,

I'm going to be pretty straight forward; you're doing it wrong.

Continue to fight Desert Hunters and receive:
- Iron
- TQ Food & Drink

Just from fighting Desert Hunters I have:
- Iron (Not sure of amount I've sold alot)
- 22 TQ War Food

The current price of war food in the marketplace (London, UK) is 282GBP by marketplace default.

I suggest you:
- Buy an Iron selling License

From there you can undercut the cheapest Iron by 0.01 local currency and make back money, with that money you can invest in companies, merchanting etc.

I'll be straightforward too - you haven't read what I've said.

I can't fight anything as my weapon is dead.

I can't sell food because I ate it all replenishing hit points.

I am selling iron but at 1.5 Gbp per iron - even with my 112 in stock, I still cant afford half a low q replacement weapon.

So, where did the money come from to buy your sellers license?
What is the point of only fighting non aggressive L1 opponents?
Where are the food and drink producers that will undercut the game price?
I cannot afford to buy anything. No CP, No HP, looks like working once every 24 hours for the next..........6 months so I can afford to fight again!

I guess you are at a stage where you must continue to work until you can afford it.

Or as an alternative you can ask the admin to transfer my 20 food and 30 drinks to you, and link him to this thread as me giving permission.

So, where did the money come from to buy your sellers license?

London pays you 1GBP per fight you win, I won twenty fights.

What is the point of only fighting non aggressive L1 opponents?

What your doing now doesn't seem to be working, so why not?

Where are the food and drink producers that will undercut the game price?

The game is still very new, companies are still being developed.

I cannot afford to buy anything. No CP, No HP, looks like working once every 24 hours for the next..........6 months so I can afford to fight again!

^ The exact reason you fight level 1 aliens, you never loose cp or hp. Maybe the admin will be kind enough to refresh it for you.
